Hello Everyone!
I’m over here getting ready to leave for a 3-week trip and grappling with balancing being with my life here before I leave, and feeling like I have a lot to do to get ready to leave. The truth is I actually don’t have a lot to do, I just feel like it because that is what I am used to! Doing, doing doing. It’s been wonderful allowing myself the spaciousness to just be with my life here before I leaving.
In this Voice Memo I grapple with this concept of how lovely it is to allow ourselves to just be, but also that it is in the human nature to do and create. Take a listen for the full thought!
I don’t reach a solid conclusion on the balance of these doing and being forces within us, but that’s the point of these Voice Memos! They are a place for us to ideate and chew on ideas together, without the pressure of needing to come to a certain conclusion.
I hope this, and all Voice Memos from Ellen, gives you the space to pause, ideate, and contemplate on what it means to be a human and how you want to live out your human experience. They are meant to be that pausing and thinking space for you while you are on the internet.
